This Wednesday we had a debate workshop led by our member Ignacio Guerra Lorenzana!

Ignacio will first introduce the structure of a debate, and then facilitate several rounds of debate between volunteers from our members, either as 1 versus 1 or in teams of 2 versus 2. 

The debate topics will follow our meeting theme of “Exploring the Cosmos.” Start thinking about how you would argue for or against some of these statements!

“Space exploration benefits life on Earth.”

“Governments should spend more money on space exploration than on military defense.”

“Sending humans to Mars is worth the cost.”

“Private companies, not governments, should lead future space missions.”
