Word of the Day: Frigid

Kirti gave her speech titled “Dirty Dishes, Clean Communication”. She spoke about how indirect communication with the people in our lives can lead to misunderstandings and frustration, whereas direct communication allows both parties to share their thoughts and understand each other’s perspectives. She also shared a personal anecdote about learning her communication style through a Toastmasters project, which helped her understand the impact of her communication on relationships.

Our Table Topics Master Helen had a fun idea of having everyone vote on the best TT response. She asked winter-themed questions such as “What winter activity have you always wanted to try?” The winner was Audrey who shared her story of her repeated (and failed) efforts to master the T-bar lift while skiing in Norway.
