Awww, what a cute theme.

The Word of the Day was exuberant, chosen by our grammarian Snehitha.

First up was Sarah for the Leadership Profile!

She did a very unique topic where she chose not a person but three animals: a lion, bear, and tiger who were rescued together and lived inseparably for the rest of their lives. Very apt for this meeting’s theme!

Ignacio gave his speech titled How Paradise Looks Like

Ignacio introduced some techniques to live calmly no matter the situation you have to face. He told us a story about how he forgot to do a task at work and was confronted by his manager, a situation I’m sure we can all regrettably relate to. To reduce stress from issues like these, Ignacio introduced Chan meditation to improve mental strength and energy (that, or buy a private island).

Akila gave her speech titled Deeds of a Lead

This speech explored how good leaders do what they do. Akila creatively used a hypothetical trip to Europe with friends to describe different leadership styles, including democratic, bureaucratic, innovative, and navigative leadership. She acknowledged the challenges in balancing individual preferences and group well-being, and encouraged us all to adjust our leadership style based on the scenario, team, and work to be done.

And finally, drumroll…our Table Topics

Table Topics Master Monica brought back Presentation Karaoke! This time, it was a hilarious selection of different kinds of pets. Some of those I wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole, but hey–different strokes for different folks.
