“Follow the Sun” was our theme for July 12 meeting, and it was luminous. 

Preetha Menon shared a leader profile of Virginia Holsinger, an unsung hero of food science. As a chemist and nutritionist, she improved and saved lives by developing milk substitute 

and powdered drink mix to relieve lactose intolerance and famine.

Shreya delivered a shining icebreaker speech, detailing her journey from Chennai and traveling with her parents to all the states within India. 

Then Vice President of Membership Ramya Radhakrishnan led the new member induction for Chandana, Shreya, and Farryl, including fun icebreaker questions. 

 Our special guest, Dr. Joan Bajorek, enlightened us about AI systems and the acceleration of information. She included free tools that we can all use to immerse ourselves in the developments of AI.
