Our  meeting began with Maurya providing an interesting leader profile of Lisa Su, the CEO of AMD, who provides inspiration to all in her company in the way she models servant leadership. We also conducted our annual Toastmaster elections where we elected Sarah Tang (VP Education), Helen Josephine (VP Public Relations) Ramya Radhakrishnan (VP Membership), Patrice Hall (Secretary), Gail Fulcher (Sgt at Arms), Liz Spicer (Treasurer) and Preetha Menon (President).

In her icebreaker speech, Vidita described her passion in leadership development and she explained ways to ‘unleash the leader within’. She also shared how she plans to use her Toastmaster experience to help her unleash her leadership. Preetha presented her speech on procrastination and provided suggestions on how we can prevent procrastination through temptation bundling and breaking actions into small doable tasks. 

Farryl led us through an engaging round of table topics on the theme of “How do find excitement in different aspects of our lives.” Our participants including our guest shared how they engage in projects or activities they love. It was amazing to see how talented our WOMEN LEAD members are. We were encouraged to use the word of the day, “enthusiasm,” throughout the meeting.
