We hosted our first hybrid meeting! Abhijeet invited members local to Santa Clara to bring their laptops to his workplace, Nvidia. From there we used our personal laptops to sign into our individual Zoom accounts, and designated one laptop at the front of the room for presenting.

Our Toastmaster Liz welcomed both our online and in-person audience. Priya presented the Profile of the Day on Senator Dianne Fieinstein. Abhijeet spoke about how to incorporate a more conversational style when speaking (think shorter sentences and more contractions.) Sarah spoke on motivating a small team and herself to complete the new Women LEAD website at www.womenleadtm.org (shout out to Preetha, Ramona, and Hannah!).

As per our theme “I Hope You Dance,” Table Topics Master Priya prompted us to show off a few moves — Krista the chicken dance, Liz a ballet twirl, and Farryl her go-to dance move. We concluded with evaluations of the prepared speeches by Farryl and Saumya led by General Evaluator SamJam.
