The March 22 meeting began with a leader profile by Karen, who provided a heart warming, touching and inspiring speech on Margaret Sanger, a healthcare professional, birth control activist, educator, and writer.

Preetha gave us a speech which was a follow-up to a speech titled “Saving Water” where she incorporated feedback provided by her fellow toastmasters and evaluator. She described the skill of adaptability in her workplace in using sensor faucets.

Patrice gave an enlightening speech using vocal variety and gestures to describe her gardening experiences. Her speech also included gardening tips such as talking to plants and how to eat artichokes.

Next we engaged in lively rounds of table topics hosted by Viji, on the theme of Dreamscapes. Our speakers shared their dreamscapes by providing their thoughts and views on them which included rainbows, daffodils and Aurora Borealis . Throughout the meeting we were encouraged to use the word of the day, “convoluted”.
