Women LEAD celebrated our second anniversary by hosting a panel discussion with the founders of the club, Renee Yao, Shoba Rao, and Abhijeet Joshi. SuJin moderated the panel with insightful and thoughtful questions and she provided a safe and nurturing environment for all of us to ask questions of the panelists. Our founders answered our questions on ways to improve the quality of our club programs, recruit and retain members, and improve the club’s diversity. They also described the meaning behind our club name (LEAD – L – leadership, E- empowerment, A – advocacy, D – diversity), which was inspirational and encouraged us to continue the excellent work they did founding the club. 

We thoroughly enjoyed Samantha Jamwal’s table topics, where she engaged us by posting pictures of famous paintings and asked each participant to describe their observations of each painting or tell a story inspired by the painting.

We finished on a positive note by announcing the upcoming event hosted by D101 , the Spring 2023 Toastmasters Leadership Institute, featuring a keynote speech by Verity Price and workshops by Kyle Hall and Verity Price.
